Okehampton Interchange
Happy new year. We’re writing to let you know that we’re about to begin building Okehampton Interchange station between Higher Stockley Mead and Hameldown Road. This new station with 200 car park spaces will connect West Devon and North Cornwall with Exeter and beyond. For more information visit dartmoorline.com.
Work will begin on Monday 20 January and be completed in spring 2026. We’ll mainly be working during the day from 7.30am to 5.30pm. But we’ll also sometimes need to work at night when trains aren’t running to keep our teams safe.
Three-way traffic lights will be in place on Hameldown Road while we deliver materials and move machines.
The nature of our work often means some noise and extra traffic is unavoidable. We’re aware we’ll be working close to you and will try to minimise this as much as possible but we’re sorry if we do inconvenience you.
