Motability provides grants to charities and organisations that support the transport needs of people with disabilities. It runs six separate grant schemes as follows:

• Community Transport Grants – grants from £100,000 to £4m
• Wheelchair Sector Grant Programme – grants from £100,000 up to £4m
• Active Travel Grants – grants from £100,000 to £4m
• Research Grants – grants from £50,000 to £1m
• Travelling with Confidence – grants from £100,000 to £1.5m
• Reducing Barriers to Driving – grants from £100,000 to £2m

Medium and large charities and not-for-profit organisations with well-established ways of working may apply.

Applicants must:

• be based in the UK
• have been active for at least three years
• have had an annual income of at least £150,000 per annum over that period
• be working in the field of transport for disabled people

Motability also provides grants to individuals to help people with disabilities to get mobile, including support for driving lessons and an access to work grant.

Prudence Trust

This is a new funding opportunity to support drop-in hubs that offer mental health support to young people aged 11-25.

The aim is to support young people’s early support hubs to maintain existing services, strengthen their relationship with clinical partners, or add new services to their model.

The Prudence Trust is seeking hubs that are integrated within the local healthcare and voluntary sectors and are delivering high quality services with strong evidence of their impact.

Registered charities or CICs with an annual income of £1million or over can apply for grants of between £250,000 to £500,000 from a total budget of £1.5million. The funding is for core costs including staff time, training for staff or volunteers, evaluation or strengthening links with local clinical services.

Your organisation must be running an early support hub in a physical space, open to local young people (aged between 11 and 25) in need of support or guidance. The organisation must have experience of running a hub for at least the past three years.

Inspire Fund

Alzheimer’s Research UK is offering grants up to £5,000 for innovative projects that engage and empower the public by improving understanding of dementia and sharing the benefits of dementia research.

Through the Inspire Fund, Alzheimer’s Research UK is aiming to fund projects that:

• Engage with underserved audiences on the topic of dementia

AND

• Build knowledge and understanding about brain health and explore ways to encourage behaviour change.

Applications are invited from people, organisations and communities with ideas, passion and ability to realise innovative public engagement projects on the topic of dementia. There is a particular interest in supporting projects led by community groups or organisations.
